It’s Wednesday, so it’s time for the Moooseum Ice Cream Fact of the Day!

The chocolate dipped frozen banana doesn’t have a clear “This Is The Person Who Invented It” story. Instead, chocolate began to be mass produced in the 1920s, and several fruits were known to be dipped in chocolate back then. The first fruit to be dipped was probably the cherry, but bananas quickly followed.

Now, chocolate dipped bananas are enjoyed the world over, but seem especially enjoyed in South America, particularly in Guatemala.
