Happy National Groundhog Day! The cheeky little guy saw his shadow today, so in theory we are in for 6 more months of winter. Personally, I think he just wanted to nap for a few more weeks.

However, if the weather stays cold, February 4th will be the perfect day to celebrate National Homemade Soup Day! What is your favorite homemade soup? For me, it is probably a Mexican Chicken Soup, or a Tortilla Soup, whatever is in that general idea. A chicken broth based soup, with onions, garlic, chicken, and whatever other stuff you have on hand. It will warm you up on a cold day!

Finally, February 7th is National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day! Sounds great! On top of waffles is probably the most classic, but there are lots of other possibilities. On top of pancakes. On top of oatmeal. A small bowl of ice cream with lots of various fruits! So many fun choices!
